Surf Avenue and West 8th St. Brooklyn, NY. (NY Aquarium address, as of 6/2009 parking was $25 which included the price of an adult admission). We went to Coney Island specifically to see NY Aquarium and by chance we found a playground right on the beach, I must be doing that “Secret” thing Oprah keeps talking about since I’m a magnet for them. Well we LOVED the aquarium and the beach, it was such a fun day, and the kids were zonked out afterwards, so was I and the traffic coming back to NJ doesn’t help! But, don’t let that discourage you from visiting.
Sea Lion show at the Aquatheater was the favorite of my 4 year old, really cute and great trainer. I’m in love with the jellyfish there, and of course they had Nemo, Dori and little jellies, see pics below. They had a section on sharks, and lots of other stuff to see. What I enjoyed about the day best was that although there was no re-entry, the parking is so convenient with a stroller to go to the boardwalk nice ramp, and the bathrooms are on a building right below. We walked the beach while my aunt and mom were hanging out at a bench with the baby. Then of course there was a playground.. and had my cameraphone luckily see my pics below. Wasn’t expecting to blog this! Of course the boardwalk can take up the whole day as well, as they had plenty of attractions there too, but we were ready to head back. I would love to check out the Coney Island Museum for the frugal price of 99 cents.  Looking forward to our next visit in NYC, will make sure to post!
