Tomahawk Lake is located on 155 Tomahawk Trail Sparta, NJ 07871 . Â
We got the chance to visit last minute last Friday on a hot August summer day, and Lynne from Tomahawk took the time to share with us all the cool highlights. Â
This place is a low key lake area that has been in business for 62 years. Â
They started out as just a lake picnic area and now have evolved to have water slide attractions, bumper boats, and even mini golf.
Admission
No credit cards, don’t forget your cash, but there is an ATM in the facility. Â
When you drive up you have to pay the general admission fee per person to enter the park, and this is just to use the lake area and picnic area.
Waterslides are additional cost-
For more options/pricing, including boating and minigolf, check out their website
Picnic Area
We loved the shady picnic area, and were enjoying the aroma of the steaks/chickens from the people who brought stuff to grill. Â Note you can bring your grill, they do “sell” grills at the Trading Post, but no rentals. Â If you don’t want to bring a cooler (no bigger than 36″ allowed), there is a food stand. We opted to pack some sandwiches, but then splurged on the ice cream.
Video Review
Check it out we jam packed alot of information into this little video, and I think you’ll agree it’s definitely a fun place to check out this summer. Â Plus we noticed if you ever buy one of the Kid Stuff Books from your local PTA, there is a coupon for a free admission in it. Ours was a Union County edition, so you’ll have to check your local book.
What a fun day, my kids really enjoyed just hanging at Cherokee Corner, the area for under 5ft.
For the real little ones, there is Papoose Land, which is strictly for 48″ and under
even though there were camps that day, not all of them use the waterslides, so it was never very crowded in the lines for any of the slides.
