As of 1/26/24 from their website: “We currently have weekend tours only at 1:00 PM, except for special days. Check back for updates on special tour dates. Please arrive between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM for the 1:00 PM tour to purchase your tickets. Tours are not self-guided, you need to go out with a guide. The museums are only available with the tour. No reservations are needed, and tickets are not sold online. Please bring a light jacket or sweatshirt as it is 56°F in the mine. The Gift Shop is open every day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. ⚠️You must have purchased a ticket and be a part of the tour to be able to view these areas, there are no self tours.
There is also opportunities to view the array of historic mining machinery and
equipment around the parking lot.
The tour guide was awesome and extremely informative. It really gives you a whole new appreciation of a miner’s job.
