Lincoln Ave E & Retford Ave, Cranford, NJ
Since I started writing for the Cranford version of the Patch, (my neighboring town) I will be in the area more often. Talking with the Parks and Recreation staff at the Community Center, they suggested that I visit Lincoln Park as the best playground area in the town. I agree, many moms congregate here, and if you are new it seems to be the place to go. Not the best or latest equipment, but it does the job, and my son enjoyed the little “space bubbles” and I liked the swings myself (except they are the hard ones).
My other favorite is one where you can grill at and do a 2 mile loop, Nomahegan Park, a Union county park in Cranford. There was some construction in October, so no benches really available, hoping it will be fixed in the Spring. Also I couldn’t resist taking a picture of this beautiful tree, I’m going to miss the warm weather *sigh*
This post is going out in November, so if you are looking for an indoor place, I highly recommend Kidz Village in nearby Kenilworth. And if you want to make some new friends in Cranford, you may want to check out the Cranford Newcomers Club I’ll be checking out their November meeting.
Hi there…I’m new to Clark, NJ. …looking to shoot some hoops…What Park is close to me for basketball?….I’m at Goodmans Crossing. Sincerely Julia♡
