Spray Park alert!
Located in the vicinity of 44th and Kennedy Boulevard, Bayonne NJ, I got this great new park recommendation from a friend who made a day trip with her son and daughter. So I can’t find a great website link to more information of this park but if you want a place to cool off and play, this park has some great sprayground equipment! Best bet is to find street parking on Kennedy Boulevard as mentioned by Lori below, here is her description and photos!
“The place was huge and beautiful! There are three separate sprinkler areas but only the largest one was working today. There is lots of seating and shade and an ice cream truck even come by! You have to park on the street but I got lucky and found a spot on 44th right by Kennedy Blvd (right across Kennedy from the entrance). Because the park is so big (and mostly fenced in, too!) even when there are a lot of kids it doesn’t feel crowded!”
Nice pictures below, and if someone is interested in covering more parks in Bayonne, let me know via email, we need them!
You don’t have to park on the street. There are at least three parking lots on the East side of the park down by the bay. you can also park along the road connecting them. The post above only describes the playground, that’s only a small part of the park: walking/bike riding paths, large picnic area, baseball, football/soccer fields, running track, three restroom areas, tennis court across the street, and hundreds of hungry squirrels 😉
I am sorry, parking sites are along the West side of the park, not East.
